# Zombie Smash — Privacy

## What we store
**Without a profile (default):** nothing leaves your device. Scores, stars, scrap, unlocks and settings are saved in your browser's local storage.

**With an online profile (optional):**
- A **generated player name** (e.g. `BraveGhoul42`). You cannot type a free-text name, so no real names end up on leaderboards.
- Your **scores and run statistics** (score, smashed count, accuracy, duration) for leaderboards.
- Your **game save** (progress, unlocks, settings) so you can continue on another device.
- A **hashed** version of your recovery code (we never store the code itself).

We do **not** collect email addresses, real names, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, or advertising IDs. There is no chat and no user-to-user messaging.

## Beta gameplay statistics (opt-in)
When a beta server is switched on, the game asks once whether you want to share **anonymous gameplay stats**. Only if you tap **Yes** it sends:
- a random session ID and a random install ID (not linked to your identity),
- what happens in play: rounds started/finished, mode, level reached, score, accuracy, streaks, weapon used, frame rate, screens visited,
- crash/error messages from the game code,
- your device class (desktop/mobile) and screen size.
If you have an online profile, stats from your sessions are linked to that profile's generated name. Stats are kept for **90 days** and then deleted. Tapping **No** (or being under 13) sends nothing. Feedback you type in the Feedback screen is stored with your rating — please don't put personal info in it.

The optional **"What survivors call you"** name never leaves your device.

## Age
The game asks for a year of birth once, to decide whether After Dark (rated 17+) and online profiles (13+) are available. **Only the yes/no results are kept, never the year itself**, and only on your device.

## Sharing
Score cards and gameplay clips are made in your browser and are only shared when you press Share/Save — we don't upload them.

## Deleting your data
Profile → **Delete profile** permanently removes your profile, save, runs and leaderboard entries from the server. Clearing your browser data removes local progress.
